The United Way Effingham County Service Center serves the Rincon and Effingham County residents. Many agencies are housed within this one building that includes a common area for community activities.

Some of the agencies represented are The Rape Crisis Center, Savannah Speech & Hearing Center, Savannah Cardio, Parent & Child, Senior Citizens, Royce Center, and others as needs arise. The Center also houses the administrative offices for Effingham County United Way. The common area of the building is often used for community meetings and as a staging area for the weekly “Brown Bag” program where citizens come by and pick up food and items donated by the businesses in the area.

The existing building was renovated and upgraded to provide expanded facilities to better serve this community since the YMCA recently moved out and their space became available. Upgrades also include ADA accessibility modifications. This is a multi-purpose building that can change to adapt to services as needed.
