At the end of 2017, the City of Savannah issued a Request for Proposals to design a new restroom facility at Bonaventure Cemetery. The cemetery previously used a single unisex restroom facility built of concrete block situated just west of the cemetery office. The cemetery's offices are located in the historic superintendent's house, which dates to 1879. Built of brick with decorative jack arches, two-over-two windows, and central entrances with transoms above, the new restroom facility was inspired by the design details from this nearby historic structure. The project was completed in Fall 2020.
